NEW REVALUATION RULES FOR CBCS SCHEME

CBCS SCHEME REVALUATION RULES

VTU has made it tough for students to make a decision whether to give their exam papers for revaluation or not for the New CBCS scheme students, before students could give their papers for revaluation without the fear of getting their marks reduced, because if the new marks after revaluation was less then their previous/original marks itself will be considered.

According to the new rule, the marks after revaluation shall be considered final without taking into consideration whether the previous marks before revaluation. Which would mean that if after revaluation your marks reduced, then the new marks will be considered.

Example 1:

Marks before revaluation 56

Marks after revaluation 42

FINAL MARKS 42

Example 2:

Marks before revaluation 63

Marks after revaluation 69

FINAL MARKS 69

That is, whatever marks you get after revaluation will be considered final, if suppose you passed the first time and fail to get the minimum passing marks after revaluation, you will be considered Failed.

This new rule is applicable for students admitted to various UG/PG programs of the VTU university under the new choice based credit system i.e from the academic year 2015-16.
